Lent Services
Last Wednesday, we gathered for our first Lent Service. We’re trying something different this year. Instead of singing and listening to a shorter sermon, we’ve created a space for prayer and reflection.
During the first 20 minutes of the gathering, we play 4 recorded songs or hymns, most of them familiar, and give you a space to talk to God or reflect on the lyrics. In the midst of this time, a few passages of Scripture are also read aloud by a reader.
During the second 20 minutes, I lead us through a guided and silent prayer time using a passage of Scripture. If you haven’t had a chance to try this service yet, I invite you to join us on Wednesday at 7pm. There is plenty of room in the sanctuary to spread out! I hope you can join us.
