The Search is on
We thought we might take a moment to catch you up to speed on our search for our next Director of Traditional Worship.
Where we began...
When the position opened up with Aaron’s departure (miss you Aaron and thankful for your time on staff), we reviewed the position and made slight adjustments to the role. Removing tasks that were specific to Aaron and shed some of the administrative burdens. Glen’s also taken on the role to write the liturgy and prayers.
Our goal is to streamline the position and leverage the musical talents and leadership abilities of our next director so that they can focus towards designing robust and vibrant worship and building teams of musicians to lead well. We were also invested in seeing the organ remain a vital part of our worship, even knowing how rare organists are becoming
Where we're now...
After posting it with the organ guild and working our networking channels, we’ve interviewed a number of folks and believe our next director is in this pool. The Lord seems to be moving and we believe we are growing close. And, it appears as if the Lord has answered our prayers in abundance.
Pray for us over the next couple of weeks as we are hopeful our search will come to a close with our next Director of Traditional Worship.
In the meantime, we’re thankful for Sue and Sally as they have filled in wonderfully. Their gifting and passion have given us the time needed to search for the person the Lord has next for this role.
