Missions Central

This week on Frontlines we have some wonderful and comforting news from the PAACS Program. If you aren't familiar with their program you can learn more by hitting the link at the bottom of this article.

News from Dr. Fridah Bosire

Dr. Fridah Bosire, a recent graduate of the Tenwek Hospital General Surgery PAACS program writes, “I started work at St Mary’s Mission hospital, Langata, Nairobi. It is a large mission hospital that caters mostly to people from the Kibera slums. I have been covering the surgery department of the hospital alone for the month of April, sometimes doing 10 cases a day, in addition to running endoscopy (120 EGDs in April alone).”

Regarding her work, Dr. Bosire says, “It has been quite challenging but very rewarding. I have loved the transition from my theatre staff staring at me like I am crazy when I prayed for patients, to now having them voluntarily join me as we pray together for patients. God has been gracious and faithful!”

Finally, she again expressed her appreciation for PAACS and her training at Tenwek Hospital, “I wouldn’t have done this without PAACS. May God continue to bless you and all the work you are doing in Africa. Please pass my gratitude to all the people behind the scenes in my training through PAACS.”
