High Impact Volunteers at Shepherd Community

Educational Outreach Marketing Strategist
Responsible for developing marketing and implementing a strategy for promoting Shepherd’s education outreach program, Poverty 101.

Poverty 101 Website Administrator
Responsible for developing an effective and attractive website for visitors to learn about Poverty 101 and other educational outreach opportunities at Shepherd.

Mailings
Responsible for addressing and mailing thank you letters to supporters. An additional high impact volunteer is needed each February to assist with sending out Year-end Tax Forms.

Finance Office File Organizer
Responsible for assisting with upkeep, scanning, naming and proper handling of financial documentation.

Afterschool Tutor
Responsible for assisting an assigned student with homework and diving deeper into specific areas of academic weakness through Shepherd’s Afterschool program.

Afterschool Club Leader
Responsible for leading and implementing an engaging Afterschool club for Shepherd students based on the HIVE’s skills and interests.

Volunteer Engagement Systems Analyst
Responsible for assisting the volunteer team in developing strategies and systems to create a more cohesive synergy between the volunteer and program departments.

Development Creative Writer
Responsible for providing creative prose and editing all outward facing communications to donors and volunteers.

Event Coordinator
Responsible for assisting Shepherd with planning, coordinating, and implementing events designed to raise funds for and to promote community awareness of Shepherd Community’s programs and services.

Jobs Program Paraclete
Responsible for assisting our neighbors during their job search process and employment to encourage them, answer questions that may come up about how to deal with work situations, informally assess barriers to employment or maintaining employment and then relay that information back to our staff.
