Kid\'s Sunday School-August Update

KIDS SUNDAY SCHOOL UPDATE
What's happening in the month of August

We are excited about the dedicated Sunday School hour beginning on September 12th!  On September 12th, we will promote our students to the next grade, including our Kindergarten kiddos.

On  July 25th, we celebrated our fifth-grade students and gave them a student Bible to encourage them in their faith.  We also celebrated the end of the Gospel Project for Kids cycle remembering that Jesus will return.

Until promotion day on September 12th, we will continue our Summer Sunday School schedule.  Elementary students will be dropped off and picked up in the Loft.  Infants through Preschool students will be dropped off and picked up in their classrooms in the upper hallway.

Incoming sixth-grade students are invited to attend a Jr. High transition class held during the 11 o'clock worship service in Portable C by the playground. This class will be conducted by August McCleery, the Jr. High Director, and his team beginning  August 1 through August 22.

So, what will elementary kids be learning about Sunday School in the month of August?  We will work on Bible skills.  Kids are encouraged to bring their Bibles as we work on finding Bible verses, learning books of the Bible and the divisions.

Lastly, we are recruiting childcare workers for the 11 o'clock worship service beginning September 12th.  Opportunities are available for infants through Kindergarten.  Please email Melissa Davis at mdavis@southportpres.org if you would like more information.

I'm glad to partner with you in your child's spiritual journey.
