CONSIDER OUR COLLEGE STUDENTS
What a gift prayer is from God. We can take anyone from anywhere and “bring them to God’s attention”. We can be that support in the background without anyone knowing except the one who loves to hear your voice express care, love and concern for someone He loves also, even the Lord.
Would you be willing to stand in the gap for a college student? Some college students are deeply involved in pursuing their faith in Jesus, ministering to others on campus. Some are developing spiritual habits and discovering Jesus. Some are not really nurturing their faith. Some maybe questioning Jesus. All have the challenges of learning and navigating through their college’s culture.
If you would be willing to pray for a college student or a few, please contact Darcy Burton at dburton@southportpres.org or Paul Gearhart at pgearhart@southportpres.org. You may also sign up at the welcome center on Sunday or during the week. You may request a student (s) or we will assign you one. We will give you their communication information to contact, although they might not respond, We can still pray for them throughout this school year. Thank you for being the Body of Christ to our college students.
